For me personally it has always been the aspect's of science fiction! As those narratives have pushed harder towards more progress of technology and innovation much further than would otherwise have been capable without that vision. Not just in the film industry technologies but in our day to day existence as well .For without science fiction most of our present technological innovation wouldn't exist , and there is a distinct line between the premise of science fiction and "fantasy" which sadly is too often "blurred" particularly with in the scope of the modern era of the filmmaking industry with the likes of comic book stylized movies that have absolute junk science blurred beyond recognition and targeted to impressionable audiences of the young ...in regard's you can look straight at "disney" as a whole in this utter failure in how it has mis handles so many contexts especially that of ancient narratives that are of the public domain it twists and cavorts like 1001 nights into "Aladdin" and the worse recent remake of it or other aspects of the grim tales which where originally fables with moral points that have been twisted and turned into absurd parodies of their original intent and now have literally brainwashed multiple generations ...
